Right of Withdrawal
Your statutory right of withdrawal and how it applies to digital content purchases.
Important Notice
For digital content such as license keys, the right of withdrawal is waived upon your express consent to immediate delivery. This is required by EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m).
Your Statutory Right of Withdrawal
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires after 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g., email to support@distivo.com).
Exception for Digital Content
Pursuant to Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium if the performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
This exception applies to license keys sold on Distivo.
How It Works at Distivo
During checkout, you will be asked to expressly confirm:
1. You request immediate delivery of the digital content (license key)
2. You understand that upon delivery, you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal
By ticking this checkbox and completing your purchase, the exception under Art. 16(m) applies and your right of withdrawal is waived upon key delivery.
How to Exercise Withdrawal (Before Key Delivery)
If you wish to withdraw before the license key has been delivered, contact us immediately:
